Use the left sidebar to navigate to the following key Ii the Registry Editor: To get started, open the Registry Editor by hitting the Start button and typing “regedit” into the search bar, then press Enter or click “Open.” Give the Registry Editor permission to make changes to your PC if you get a popup.
Update: This registry hack works on Windows 11, too. And definitely back up the Registry (and your computer!) before making changes.
That said, if you’ve never worked with it before, consider reading about how to use the Registry Editor before you get started. This is a pretty simple hack and as long as you stick to the instructions, you shouldn’t have any problems. This will only disable it for the current user, but it will grey out the Settings option so they can’t turn it back on.
